Description of role:

We are looking to speak to experienced Records or Administration Assistants based in Edinburgh. Ideally for this role you will have experience providing support to a variety of teams within either a legal or professional services environment daily. You will have experience managing a variety of paper and virtual files and documents, whilst completing deliveries within the office. You will be able to efficiently manage and review files to ensure all compliance is correct and that storage is completed internally or externally by providers.

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity working 9am – 5pm and will be office based in Edinburgh City Centre. The salary for this role is up to £23,500 p/a DOE.

Are you who we are looking for?

  • You have Records Administration or Administration experience
  • You are confident in handling both paper and electronic files
  • You have a strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • You are a confident communicator both written and orally and enjoy building strong business relationships at all levels
  • You have strong time and diary management
  • You are proficient in the use of Microsoft Packages
  • You can work well individually and within a wider team environment
  • You are proactive individual

What is the day to day like?

  • Completing requests relating to a variety of files and documents in storage
  • Entering documents into the firm’s internal system, and sending to an external provider for off-site storage
  • Ensuring all pick-ups and deliveries are efficient within the office
  • Managing time and diary to complete all tasks and requests within set timescales
  • Liaising with a variety of departments daily, building strong business relationships
  • Processing the return of files and documents
  • Reviewing files and ensuring all are compliant and in line with internal policies
  • Utilising a variety of systems daily including Microsoft Packages
  • Completing a variety of other administrative tasks when required
