Description of role:

Certain Advantage are recruiting on behalf of our engineering consulting client for a Power System Studies Engineer to work on a range of onshore and offshore projects.

This is a fantastic 12-month contract opportunity with an immediate start working outside IR35.

Based in surrey there is the opportunity to work 2 days remotely during the week.

Your duties will include running power system studies and overseeing third party vendors providing power system studies for projects, including EMT software.

The software for all studies is ETAP so we’re looking for someone experienced in ETAP.

Projects include local power generation, renewable power including BESS or grid connections at voltages up to 220kV.

Power System Studies include equipment sizing, load flow, short circuit, dynamic motor starting, harmonic studies, arc flash, transient stability and protection co-ordination.

Your Experience

  • Recent experience in ETAP studies
  • Recent experience in Studies to include as many of; equipment sizing, load flow, short circuit, dynamic motor starting, harmonic, arc flash, transient stability and protection co-ordination.
  • Project experience up to 220kV
