Periodic Testing Engineer – Operations Support
Certain Advantage is hiring for a Periodic Testing Engineer to support a key energy infrastructure project in Somerset.

The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically-minded engineer to support the development and implementation of Periodic Testing Operations Instructions (PTOIs) and to contribute to the broader delivery of the Surveillance Programme for the operational station. You’ll be involved in the analysis of detailed technical documentation and collaborate closely with a wide range of stakeholders across multiple departments and disciplines.

Key responsibilities include:
* Conducting technical analysis of plant components, equipment, and associated documentation.
* Supporting the development of Surveillance Programme requirements for long-term operations.
* Assisting with the scheduling and coordination of the Periodic Testing Surveillance programme.
* Reviewing and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and test procedures.
* Developing and maintaining cross-functional relationships with project teams, operational stations, and external partners.
* Applying insights from industry operating experience to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
* Contributing to the creation and refinement of testing processes and work instructions.

The Individual
We’re looking for candidates who can demonstrate:
* Experience working with mechanical, electrical, or C&I plant systems.
* The ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
* Proficiency in technical document production and procedure development.
* Strong planning skills, with the ability to develop and execute work plans safely and efficiently.
* Experience in a project environment, ideally with exposure to both UK-based and international stakeholders.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
