Description of role:
Position: Manufacturing Controller
Duration: 12 Months
Location: Bolton
Rates: £15.50 per hour – rising to £16.55 per hour (PAYE)
Our client, a large Aerospace and Defence supplier is looking for a Stores Controller to join them on a contract basis at their site in Bolton.
Overview:
You will be tasked with managing the stores and inventory, issue and receipt of stock and support manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities:
- Stock control and shelf life management.
- Load manufacturing cells with jobs per schedules.
- Packing and tooling management.
- Update inventory records.
- Kitting and logistics support.
Required Skills:
- Experience in stores/manufacturing control.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Manual handling and lifting training.
- ESD training.
Desirable Skills:
- Proficiency in Excel and SAP.
- Forklift licence.
- Knowledge of Kanban systems.
