Role: Financial Reporting Manager

Location: Glasgow City Centre

Reporting to the fantastic Group Financial Controller you will also work closely with the CFO and senior finance professionals across the wider team.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Tax:

  • Prepare Group plc’s annual report, half-year interim accounts, and subsidiary statutory accounts (IFRS)
  • Consolidate monthly Group results
  • Stay updated on IFRS standards; handle accounting for acquisitions/disposals
  • Coordinate audits; serve as primary auditor contact
  • Handle VAT and corporation tax computations/returns

Monthly Reporting:

  • Produce monthly finance pack for the plc Board, including management accounts, variance analysis, and KPIs
  • Manage intercompany, debtors, capex reconciliations, and reporting
  • Oversee monthly consolidation adjustments
  • Maintain IFRS 16 schedules and adjustments

Finance System Management & Company Secretarial:

  • Document and improve financial controls
  • Administer finance system and drive process improvements
  • Manage company secretarial duties, including Companies House and HMRC returns
  • Oversee plc-related reporting requirements
  • Maintain key relationships with external auditors

Ad Hoc Projects:

  • Assist with various projects such as acquisitions/disposals, working capital management, debt restructuring, and new accounting standards adoption
