Description of role:

Our global leading client are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer with a strong background in Aramco projects, particularly in handling the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) phase.


The role will be based a minimum of 4 days a week in the our clients Offices in Leatherhead.

Job Description

The MAC engineer will assist the project Lead in designing new control systems based on initial designs and contribute to the development of control system design deliverable.

Key Responsibilities:
Specification Development:
Develop specifications for control systems in accordance with Aramco standards.
Contribute to the development of control system design deliverables, including support for P&IDs and Instrument Lists.
Collaborate with client counterparts and vendors to develop the minimum requirements for control systems and interfaces with packages.
Support risk assessments such as Safety Integrity Level (SIL), Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA), and Hazard and Operability Study (HAZOP).
Prepare ICSS technical requisitions and conduct bid evaluations.
Assist in the development of Process Control narratives, Cause and Effect diagrams
Demonstrate working knowledge of IEC 61508 & IEC 61511.
Perform assigned automation-related job functions, including the creation of I/O lists.
Interface with electrical systems and MCC to develop the necessary I/Os.
Experience in Brownfield onshore projects preferred
Works closely with the Process Design and Project Teams to ensure the successful execution of project studies.
Experience working with multiple centres.
