Business Development Executive

Certain Advantage are recruiting on behalf of a known and well-respected brand who provide B2B telecoms solutions around the world utilising integrated connectivity solutions like SD-WAN, Enterprise Mobility, advanced network management, network based security / SASE, UC and collaborations services.

Purpose

This role is required to develop and win new logo deals, so this is very much a “hunter” BD role.

This is a fantastic opportunity for Business Development professionals with experience of complex solution sales to join a leading business working closely with senior leadership in driving the future success and growth.

You’ll be required to lead and manage the whole deal process from initiation of selling activities to closure, including leading through internal governance processes depending on deal size/shape.

Key responsibilities

  • Developing and leading on sales opportunities with multinational businesses
  • Develop, qualify, and driving leads and large deals from concept through to completion.
  • Working with other BDMs on developing a winning strategy for GTM
  • Steer cost effectiveness for the full period and customer relationship
  • Prospecting business in emerging areas
  • Work effectively to draw up proposals with pre-sales team (pre-sales technical, Bid management etc) and collaborate with service management and project management so there is a cohesive detailed technical and business oriented solution being presented to the customer
  • Working closely with Marketing Managers within the international team to drive campaigns within the UK market.

Your background

  • Experience in complex solution sales leading and managing the full new sales lifecycle.
  • Demonstrable wins in recent years for IT/telecoms solution in the areas of Networking and/or Security (e.g. SD-WAN, MPLS, SASE, Managed networks etc)
  • The ability to work as part of a small dedicated sales team, acting as lead negotiator for assigned tasks.
  • Abe to work under pressure in a deadline driven environment, and can negotiate well.
  • Good understanding of commercial and budgeting processes
  • Able to build, lead and motivate a multi-disciplinary team, setting a results-oriented approach.
