Description of role:

Maritime Organisation based in Port Glasgow is currently looking to recruit a Liaison Engineer on a permanent basis. The role will be fully on-site.

Salary: circa £34.000 + benefits

Liaison Engineer Job Description:

To support production by resolving problems during the build.

Responsibilities:
* Serve as the primary point of contact for production staff on a daily basis.
* Attend daily production planning meetings to stay aligned with current operations.
* Address questions from the production team by either solving the problem directly or capturing it in a Technical Query (TQ) form with sufficient detail for another member of the engineering team to resolve.
* Collaborate with planning to schedule the resolution of open TQs by the engineering team.
* Follow up on TQs raised by production to ensure the issue is clearly understood and assigned to the appropriate person for resolution.
* Maintain and update the TQ register, tracking queries to closure and providing production with regular updates on progress.
* Share lessons learned and opportunities for improvement with the rest of the engineering team, supporting the implementation of improvements for future projects.

Skillset/experience required:
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
* Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
* Production experience is an advantage.
* Experience in a design or drawing office environment is an advantage.
